POP is a new collection of works inspired by pop music culture from illustrator Little Gonzales. Presenting his favourite iconic and influential figures from the past 30 years such as Daft Punk, Amy Winehouse, Madonna, Morissey, Kanye, Bjork and more, POP is Little Gonzales’ debut solo exhibition.
Little Gonzales (Dan Gray) is a self-taught illustrator from Sydney and draws pictures - only because the voices in his head tell him to. From t-shirts to albums to books to posters, he has worked with clients including Graniph, Microsoft, Warner Music, Dappled Cities and Old Man River.
His work is a vibrant blend of traditional and digital illustration, keeping its tongue firmly in-cheek.
He was nominated for the Qantas SOYA Award in 2010 for Visual Communication and was part of Modular’s The Groop.
Opening night: Thursday 20th Oct 5.30-8.30pm and runs through till Saturday 5th Nov.
